We all have become aware of the lodging and support the Fisher House provides military
families so they can be near their love one receiving treatment. This is a perfect mission
for our Councils and specifically our 4th Degree Assemblies.
Consider participation and/or sponsorship of the Saturday. October 29th Fisher House
Run/Walk/Roll. The goal is to have the Knights of Columbus be a Three Star sponsor
on the event shirt ($2,000) and have 25 participants. Donations to Fisher House in St.
Louis are tax deductible as a 501©3. Please show affiliation i.e., “KofC Assembly 565”.

Second Annual Fisher House Walk-Run-Roll

Jefferson Barracks St. Louis County Park -Start at Gold Star Shelter via S. Broadway Entrance

Timed Race-- Starts at 8:00 AM. Check-in 7:00 to 7:30 AM.
Casual Participants -- Start any time after 8. The event will conclude by 11:30 AM.

Cost: $30 per person to get the great long-sleeved tech shirt, race support, goody bag, and more! Price
goes up to $35 on September 20, 2022. Veterans and VA employees get $10 off registration. Kids under
14 may participate for free. You may pre-order cotton t-shirts in kids' sizes for $10.

EYE TO THE FUTURE --- there is a plan to build a New VA Hospital in the St. Louis
Grand Center Area with an adjoining Fisher House estimated to cost $9 million. Half
from the Fisher House Foundation and half raised in the Midwest area served. Due to
excellent management, there is $2 million is in the local kitty. To raise the balance of
$2.5 million we will require all hands-on deck.
