Fortified with the sacraments of the Holy Mother Church, passed away March 12, 2023, at age 90 in St Louis. He was born Feb 2, 1933 in Lively Grove, Illinois to Ben and Elizabeth (Huelsmann) Budde. In 1955, he married Alice Heidemann and they celebrated 51 years of marriage before she preceded him in death in 2006. He was a devout Catholic and a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
In addition to his wife, Andy is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Lawrence Budde, Arthur Budde, Helen Oeltjen, Juliana Budde, Paulina Budde, Martin Budde, Adele Cassidy, Al Budde and Regina Myers.
Andy is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Ann and Randy Schwartz, grandchildren Zachary (Jessica) Schwartz, Benjamin (Stephanie) Schwartz, and Andrea (Daniel) Cuneio, great-grandchildren Randy, Jordan, Jillian and Lacey, sister and brother-in-law Irene and Joe Schoendienst, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Andy was a member of St Andrew’s parish for 18 years, St Catherine Laboure parish for over 45 years and a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He attended the White House Jesuit Retreat center annually for 51 years.
Services; Funeral from Kutis South County Chapel (5255 Lemay Ferry) on Thursday March 16, 2023 9:30AM for 10AM mass at St. Catherine Laboure (9740 Sappington Rd. St. Louis, MO 63128). Interment JB National Cemetery. Visitation Wednesday 4-8PM. Donations can be made to White House Jesuit Retreat Center or the Alzheimer’s Association.
